The Lincoln Electric System workers were working across the street when they noticed smoke around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
After a call to 911, Jamie Kraft, Mike Mullendore and Brent Foxhoven ran over to the building and began knocking on doors.
System spokesman Russ Reno says that as a man and two of his children headed outside, he said his baby was still in a bedroom.
Reno says Mullendore went into the thick smoke, scooped up the baby and handed off the child to Kraft at the doorway.
They got out safely as firefighters arrived.
Some residents were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The fire cause is being investigated.
